“Oh no, school starts again this
month!” Alex complains.
I guess vacation can’t go on forever. Today we went to the beach at Nantucket, and
that was amazing. It was the first truly relaxing day of our vacation. The water is much
warmer than Northern CA, but a little colder than South Carolina – perfect for
boogie boarding and body surfing. We all
played for hours. Peter’s
brother David lives next door so he and his son Luke joined all of us and Peter
and Allison at the beach. Amazing
day.
Then Dee, Mike, Becky and I went into town for a little
while to walk around, and we found the house that Kit lived in on
Nantucket. They sold it in the early 50s
for about $5,000. Today it’s
worth in the ballpark of $3 million.
Ouch! Could have been... I will say that I enjoy the beach and out
of the way location of Peter and Allison’s house much better than
the town. The 3 Rolls Royces we saw, countless
Land Rovers, pink bermuda shorts with button-up dress shirts, deck shoes and no
socks just isn’t exact a lifestyle that I relate
to very well.
This evening David’s family including his
wife Ann and kids Claire and Luke came over to visit with all of us. It’s been really fun
connecting (or reconnecting for some) with family. What a great time we’re
having on Nantucket!

Looks like you are having an amazing trip. I'm so jealous! But make sure you do come back to CA!
