The Countdown Begins

So here we are again. Some of you may recognize us from such blogs as The Summer of Al (beckyandpete3.blogspot.com), "C'est la vie," says Pete - "Whatever," says Becky (beckyandpete2.blogspot.com), or the granddaddy of them all Nuestro Viaje Loco (beckyandpete.blogspot.com).

In a nutshell, we decided against all rational thought to drive a 17-year old RV across country in 2007 with 3 small children and 74-year old Grandma Kit. Kim, a fellow teacher from my school, wanted to mock this ludicrous endeavor so she suggested I keep a blog of the whole thing. I figured out how the blogging thing works and have since created a blog for 3 of our summer family adventures. Sure, we have done other summer vacations like visiting family and friends, trips to Disneyland or Universal Studios, but the adventure must be totally insane for me to consider it to be blogworthy. Like planning a summer road trip vacation around Weird Al concerts or leasing a car in Europe and living with 3 kids either in a tent or by the charity of Swiss and French friends for a month - those kind of things deserve a blog. Just stay tuned, when you see where this journey leads us, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
