Running a day behind, but like I said the wi-fi isn’t
great in our room. I’m
in the food court of our resort, and here it’s much better. Yesterday, we went to Disney’s
Hollywood Studios. While my heart is
still at Disneyland where I went with my own family as a child, I do see some
advantages of Disney World. The size of
the whole resort area forces a different approach – a slower pace. You can’t try to see everything
and get on all the rides in one day. But
the parks themselves are a little smaller than Disneyland and California
Adventure. Especially with the new
fastpass options, it’s easy to see all you want to see
in a single park in one day. In fact, we’ve
seen more shows than we normally do (still not a parade family though) and we’ve
ridden all the rides we wanted to (some multiple times).
Today was much better after a full night of sleep. At Hollywood Studios, we all get a kick out
of the Tower of Terror which we rode twice.
Everyone (except dad) also loved the Rockin’
Roller Coaster with Aerosmith (I’m glad I had the
experience and rode it once, but since I’m more of a Willie Nelson
fan, I sat out when the rest of the family rocked out a second time). We saw a new adventure that we hadn’t
seen before on Star Tours. Even The
Great Movie Ride was fun. Can’t
go wrong in my book if you tip your hat to Cowboy Clint. We did everything and still made it back to
the resort in time to swim. Then the kids watched Princess and the Frog on the outdoor big screen (appropriate since
we are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort). All in all, a great day!

It sounds like you are all having a fabulous time...minus the Denver delay. Keep having fun!!
